Louise writes about most of life’s rich tapestry from socks, love, anxiety and death to old age, rock ‘n’ roll and bikini line wazing!

Louise has headlined with her performance poetry and comedy monologues at top spoken-word venues and international festivals and on BBC and local radio.  Her first collection is entitled You Can’t Cook a Poem LIke an Egg! and her 2nd on its way.

Her poem Sown Together has recently been published by Kew Gardens both online and in print. Created in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Titi Sodimu, the Community Quilt and Poem are  an art installation celebrating British flora. Titi was commissioned by Kew Gardens and Southern Railways for their Grow Wild on the Railway Project for Hove Station.

Louise’s credits include: Apples & Snakes, Express Excess, Seahaven Poets, Spoaken Word, The Fun & Laughter Mob, Sunday Assembly, The Poetry Café, The Poetry Police, Red Rooster, Oliver’s Poetry; and  Edinburgh, Chichester & Brighton Fringe, Hove Grown,  Henley Arts,  London Literary, Seaford Literary, Hailsham Arts; Museum of Emotions on the South Bank. She is the founder and artistic director of The Poet’s Kitchen.

Iona Jette is Louise’s Scottish poetic alter ego and together they have performed on BBC London’s Word for Word, Talkback Radio, GLR, Brighton Community Radio and London Network Radio.

They have been found at parties, weddings, groups, health spas, cafes and on Zoom – Mairie Campbell’s Ceilidh,  Pick n Mix Cabaret.
